Rajmata Jijau Government Medical College, Buldhana

Government Medical College Buldhana is established by Government of Maharashtra State vide Government Resolution dated 14th July 2023. It is renamed as Rajmata Jijau Government Medical College Buldhana By Government of Maharashtra on 28th April 2026.  

Letter of Permission from National Medical Commission, for 100 admissions per year to MBBS course is received on 3rd October 2024 . The admissions are permitted from Academic year 2024-25. 

The District Civil Hospital Buldhana and District Women Hospital with total hospital bed strength of 420, is attached to this college .

This college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Nashik and governed by Directorate of Medical Education And Research, under Medical Education and Drugs Department,  Government of Maharashtra,Mumbai.  

Buldhana District is situated in western  part of  Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. Sindkhed Raja,   the Birthplace of Rajmata Jijau the Mother of  the great King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is in Buldhana district.

Buldhana District has famous Gajanan Maharaj temple at Shegaon and Meteorite lake at Lonar. So also, It is just 60 km from world famous Ajanta caves.

Buldhana is District Head Quarters and beautiful city situated in Sahyadri hill ranges. It has pleasant weather. Temperature here is usually  2 degrees less than other surrounding  cities.

It is well connected by road. Nearest railway station is Malkapur 45 kms away and Flights are available from Jalgaon, 102 km away and also from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar just 3 hour away by road.
